UNDERGROUND CAGLIARI
Exploring Cagliari’s underground sites, which, from the Phoenician period onwards, have been part of the city’s history. You’ll visit the crypt of San Sepolcro and the crypt of Santa Restituta, which is home to vestiges of various dominions. The tour ends in the Galleria dei Salesiani, dug out in the 19th century as a quarry and then reused as an air raid shelter during the Second World War. Here you can relive the mood of the time, as you listen to oral testimonies by the light of the candles that illuminate the tunnel, just as they did back in the day.
